My Acting

As of 2024, I’ve been acting for 11 years. Take a glance at my favorite past projects!

Upcoming

This upcoming week, I’ll be starring in James Madison University’s production of The Trail to Oregon as the Father.

  • Friend Art

Friend Art follows a group of four friends as they explore growing older and bad art. The play asks how late is too late to give up on your dreams, when are you really a grown-up, and what the hell are you supposed to say when walking out of a friend’s truly terrible performance?

  • Silent Sky

Silent Sky by Lauren Gunderson reimagines the life of Harvard astronomer Henrietta Leavitt in the early 1900s. I played Williamina Fleming, Henrietta’s close friend and co-worker, an intelligent Scottish woman characterized by her sense of humor.

  • Dance Nation

Inspired by the hit reality TV show Dance Moms, Clare Barron's Dance Nation follows a pre-teen dance team chasing a win at nationals while navigating the challenges of puberty. In this double-cast production, I performed as both Vanessa/The Moms and an ensemble member. After production began, I was invited to understudy Sofia and enthusiastically agreed, even stepping in for one performance.

  • How to Take Care of Your Flower

I was cast in the workshop of a new work called How to Take Care of Your Flower, a story about playwright Celeste Black's childhood, high school, and college experience. The play explores topics of sexual assault, depression, and healing. I played Serenity/The Mom and heavily participated in ensemble scenes.

  • Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind

The neo-futurist play Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind aims to produce 30 short plays in 60 minutes. As an ensemble member, I acted in multiple plays, hung lights, completed dramaturgy for the production, and designed and created the lobby display. Her work exemplified the flexibility and dedication required of Too Much Light cast members.

  • Little Shop of Horrors

Little Shop of Horrors stars Seymour, a poor gardener who receives a plant that feeds on human blood. Seymour grapples with the morality of his actions as the plant continues to grow and bring him fame, money, and the love of his life, Audrey. In this production, I understudied one of my first dream roles, Seymour Krelborn.
